This site is all in the family. I worked on it for my brother. He’s a ‘dot-net’ guru and built this really cool music platform on ASP.NET. Because of this site, I got to hob-nob with the big guns in the music meta data biz. ya, meta-data=song title, genre, etc. Betchya didn’t know there were big guns in that industry, or that “music meta-data” was even an industry at all, huh?

This company was waaaaaay ahead of its time before the i-shmods and zune’s were even glistening in the eyes of the corporate giants. I wrote a killer business plan for the company but sadly didn’t have the guts to implement it. Sigh. So many ideas. So little hutzpha. The fun thing about this project was the logo. My brother was cool about working strategically to get what he wanted and hiring a really awesome designer to do it, while I managed the creative direction. We had so many great designs, it was hard to choose just one.

Anyway, this is how I got my start in Web design and programming. I didn’t know jack about either. Ok, I knew something about design and marketing. The rest was by the seat of my pants. I got to make plenty of mistakes because, you know, when you do stuff for the family, its a given that it won’t be perfect.
